News! Youth Parliament Elections

Young people ages 11-18 year olds are being encouraged to make their mark and vote for what is debated in the House Of Common by the Youth Parliament on Friday 11 November 2016.

Voting closes at 10am on Wednesday 5 October 2016.

The ballot will contain 10 policies voted by the members of the Youth Parliament including mental health and lowering the voting age.

The Youth Council is made up of 45 elected members ages 11 to 19 from secondary schools, special schools, colleges and children in care in Derbyshire, young people with special educations needs and disabilities and young carers.

The full youth council meets for a full day conference every two months to work on projects and issues important to young people, also attending other partner meetings.
