Training! Suicide Awareness

Rural Action Derbyshire (RAD) are holding a FREE training event for Suicide Awareness.

On average, 16 people kill themselves each day in the UK and men are 3 times as likely to take their own lives as women.

RAD's suicide awareness project exists to raise awareness and help prevent suicide. We believe that suicide is everybody's concern, and that individual tragedies can be prevented.

What does the training cover?

This free half-day training enables participants to:

  • Examine their own attitudes and those of society
  • Find out about (and challenge) the myths that surround suicide
  • Discover possible suicide risk factors and warning signs
  • Find out how they might help someone at risk of suicide
  • Take advantage of a great networking opportunity
